Chemically they are an aliphatic polyurea, and the aliphatic part is the whole point: the backbone is UV stable, so the coating holds color and gloss where a standard epoxy clear ambers within a year or two of daylight exposure.
• Solid Color Epoxy Coatings — Solid color epoxy is the workhorse of resinous flooring and the right answer more often than the decorative systems get credit for. It is pigmented 100% solids epoxy rolled at ten to twenty mils over a mechanically prepared slab, and what it delivers is a hard, non-porous, uniform, cleanable floor at the lowest cost per square foot of any real system.
